Dear Jila, dear Bahman, dear Shiva,
it’s both so difficult and so easy to write a message to you, for since 7 months you’ve become a part of my life, my "Iranian family" whom I’m so proud of, even though we’ve never met. A part of myself is now in jail with you, Bahman, and with you, again, Shiva. A part of myself is along with you Jila, when you are waiting in the hall of Evin to visit Bahman, as well as when you demand justice and freedom for him, for Shiva and for all your friends who are know political prisoners in Evin. For 7 month I’ve been spending nights and days waiting or looking for (and also spreading) news of you three, and of the others "members of my Iranian family": Hengameh, Fariba, Saeed Laylaz, Mohammad Ghouchani, Keyvan, Mahdieh, Mahsa and Masoud, Abdolfattah and Mr. Dadkhah, Dr. Maleki, Zia and Atefeh, Majid Dari, Majid Tavakoli, Kjan, Emad, Abdolah Momeni, Ahmad Zeydabadi, Mohammad Sadeghi, Hasan Asadi, Isa, Foad,... I could go on with this list, just with the will to let you know this simple reality: you, our "Iranian family", are not alone, and you’ll never be alone. We know everything. You are not wraped in the silence. Our main concern (of me and of other people along with me) has been for 7 months not to leave you alone. We’ll go on, until you’ll go on, hand in hand. Waiting for a day in which we all can meet and hug each other as a free, real family. We’ll need no word, that day. That day is coming. See you soon, dearest Shiva, dearest Bahman, dearest Jila.
Marco
